چکیده
Curvature-induced effects allow us to tailor the static and dynamic response of a magnetic system with high degree freedom. We study corrugated magnonic waveguides deposited on sinusoidally modulated substrate prepared by focused electron beam deposition. Electromagnetic Wave Propagation in Random Waveguides
Abstract. We study long range propagation of electromagnetic waves in random waveguides with rectangular cross-section and perfectly conducting boundaries. The waveguide is filled with an isotropic linear dielectric material, with randomly fluctuating electric permittivity. The fluctuations are weak, but they cause significant cumulative scattering over long distances of propagation of the wave...
متن کاملLove Wave Propagation in a Fiber-reinforced Layer with Corrugated Boundaries Overlying Heterogeneous Half-space
Love-type wave generation in a fiber-reinforced medium placed over an inhomogeneous orthotropic half-space is analysed. The upper and lower boundary surfaces of the fiber reinforced medium are periodically corrugated. Inhomogeneity of half-space is caused by variable density and variable shear modules. Displacement components for layer and half-space are derived by applying separable variable t...
متن کاملModeling wave propagation in damped waveguides of arbitrary cross-section
In this paper the Semi-Analytical Finite Element (SAFE) method for modeling guided wave propagation is extended to account for linear viscoelastic material damping. Linear viscoelasticity is introduced by allowing for complex stiffness constitutive matrices for the material. Dispersive characteristics of viscoelastic waveguides, such as phase velocity, attenuation, energy velocity and cross-sec...
متن کاملSome Techniques for Computing Wave Propagation in Optical Waveguides
Optical wave-guiding structures that are non-uniform in the propagation direction are fundamental building blocks of integrated optical circuits. Numerical simulation of lightwaves propagating in these structures is an essential tool to engineers designing photonic components. In this paper, we review recent developments in the most widely used simulation methods for frequency domain propagatio...
